White iPhone is sexy. Not to mention that cases ...especially that stupid bumper attract dust that scratch the phone. My metal antenna band already has tons of scratches from it.

I was not sure where to post this, I have emailed MacRumors several times, but with no reply.
I can pull up the main page of wap.macrumours.com but when clicking next page I get a response unknown error with my Nokia 3200.
This also happened on my old 7210 phone too.
This would indicate non complaint wml code on the 2nd page, as this is the error Nokia's tend to give (they do not attempt to display non complaint code)

If you watch the 2nd Youtube video, at around 40-43 seconds you will see the volume buttons dont have their engraved "+" and "-" markers, so this is definately a prototype phone. I also noticed where the rear camera is there is no silver ring around it as well. It also looks as if the antenna is also painted, but this is probably the light reflecting plus the very visible "ring" around the home button (raised). On the same video at 1.08 in the Settings screen you will see "Carrier Settings" with a new "C" logo, plus "Developer" with the "D" and "Internal Settings" with an "M" logo. At 1.13 you will then see when he choses "Carrier Settings" you will see "Show WiFi RSSI" / "Show Internal Apps" / "VMAC" which to me seems to possibly mean "VirtualMAC" which may be the reason for the new search function as well. Under "Logging" in "Carrier Settings" you see "Logging" / "Baseband" and "Enable VM Logging". At 1.15 I could make out the following options "Enable Bypass Mode" / "Activate Bluetooth Test Mode" / "Activate Data PDF Context" / "Deactivate Data PDF Context" and "Ping Testing". At 1.25, I also noticed under "General" an option that says "File Sharing"
So far, most of these options seem to indicate this is a test version of iOS.

I got a Nexus One on T-Mobile. My bill with 500 minutes (free nights and weekends) unlimited text, data plus taxes and fees comes to $65. Compare this to an AT&T plan and you pay more for just phone (less minutes). I would switch to the iPhone as soon I as can have it on my plan.

depends on who you are. my bill with 500 more minutes and rollover, 1500 text and unlimited data is only $7 more than yours. of course I have had my voice plan for almost 8 years
and tmobile is simply awful

It is what I've been saying here for the last year. MR readers are not the target audience for the iPad, and that is why they have been so consistently wrong on the iPad's prospects until market data proves them wrong. We are NOT normal -- we like to hang out on a tech rumor site :)

Because Office 2010 uses MAPI. Its WebDAV that has gone away.
It has NOTHING to do with protocol. If Windows Office uses MAPI, put MAPI in Mac Office. It's not rocket science. Point being - it CAN be done somehow. They choose not to do it because they are sabotaging Mac Office so it's always going to be inferior to the Windows version. Who cares about Expose. Give me Multi-Touch Gesturing like I have on iPad 2. 4-5 finger swipe accross apps, 4-5 finger swipe up to show the mult-tasking pane; 4-5 finger pinch-close to get to the home screen........What can beat that??????

This girl must have you star-struck, eh? Sending messages over to other computers in the apple store is difficult. They always have these odd names for ichat/bonjour services, so it's not likely you'll be able to do this on your first try. You could be sending a message to another GUY somwhere in the store for all you know.

I would not at all be pissed if she dated someone else, for all I know she could be right now and that is great for her. I simply thought she was an attractive and interesting person, and since I have a poor history of initiating contact with women I like, I thought I would ask around. Anybody seen any of the DFW apple stores receive and begin selling iPads during the day or have they been holding them for sale at the beginning of the next day? Trying to see if it's worth going to Northpark or Knox bright and early on Saturday morning or if it's best to just keep calling around throughout the day...

Say no to rfid! We already use phones to pay for tickets on parking spaces, trains, buses and so on. There is no need to add more identity to these transactions. It is already in use and works just fine without rfid.

I'm putting down an engineered floor in my bedroom, was at the local Home Depot hardware store and found a 3 piece Dasco Pro Pry Bar Set (http://findnsave.miamiherald.com/Product/3050919). It's well made, very functional for working with trim and prying up carpet strips, reasonably priced, and marked as Made in the USA! :)
I would have a difficult time spending money at Home Depot, the thought of founder Bernie Marcus just creeps me out.

Sounds like bad news for Apple. Increased outside pressure from major retailers of DVDs is turning into the less likelihood of other studios signing on to iTunes... unless of course consumers get the wonderful opportunity to pay $24.99 to watch the latest Tim Allen release.

What I'm curious about is why blindly (for a lot of people) support a very successful band, wouldn't this have been a really nice little story if people rallied to buy a track from a smaller/upcoming band? Or maybe a real charity single or for something more deserving, like them soldier blokes or whoever.

Yeah I wish this case was out when I got my iPod. The back of mine has a few scratches on it. I've had this case for a few days now and I love it. The cut is perfect.

Well, I own iWork, and here's my .02...
Pages seems to be a cool app. The templates look really cool, and would really spice up various documents I write for school and elsewhere, where before I simply had text and nothing else. But as a pure word processor, my first impression is that Pages blows. I admit I haven't used it more than about 30 minutes, but I wasn't impressed at all.
And no, I don't even have Microsoft Office (well I had Office v.X, but it's not installed... thinking of it, I'm not sure where the CD is...). I use TextEdit, which, since it's update with Panther, serves perfectly for my word processing needs, which is extremely modest.

The problem is that the ads don't make fun of PCs, they make fun of the people who use PCs as nerdy, boring, stupid types, compared to the people who use Macs as hip, trendy, urban-cool. People put (what they think is) a lot of research into their PC purchases and if someone comes along and tells them they just made the wrong choice in a very snarky, sarcastic way, it can provoke two responses: 1) humiliation, or 2) anger (ego self-defense). Neither of which are good.
These Mac ads, in addition to whatever popularity they've achieved, are stirring up a lot of Mac hatred.

Have you looked at the Chrysler 200 convertible. It's pretty sharp but not as "macho" as the camaro or challenger. I had a sebring years ago, and loved it even though it was iffy as far as "quality." Still, probably the best convertible I've ever had. I rented a g6 hardtop convertible and it was great other than the tiny trunk.
No offense, but that is one ugly car and far too conservative for me. If I was married off and had kids, sure. ;)
